Love of Life is the eighth studio album by American experimental rock band Swans. It was released in 1992 on Young God Records. Like its predecessor, White Light from the Mouth of Infinity, Love of Life was out of print for a long time and had not been reissued until December 2015. Six of the eleven songs appear on the Various Failures compilation, and a further four appear on the Forever Burned compilation. These two compilations therefore contain all the material on this release, except the Jarboe. What a Life is the second studio album by Australian band Divinyls, released in July 1985 by Chrysalis Records. The album is a genre of rock and new wave songs-written by Divinyls members Christina Amphlett and Mark McEntee. After touring and promoting in the United States, Divinyls came back to Australia to begin the follow-up to Desperate, with Mark Opitz producing again. They produced three songs including Don't You Go Walking and Motion but Amphlett and McEntee were not satisfied so they. Facts of Life is the fifth studio album by American musician Bobby Womack. The album was released on June 8, 1973, by United Artists Records. The album raced to No. 6 on the US Billboard R&B chart. It also charted at No. 37 on the Billboard Pop chart. The album included the hit single Nobody Wants You When You're Down and Out which charted No. 2 on the Billboard R&B Singles chart. Bobby Womack - guitar, vocals, string and horn arrangements. It's a romance type story, you just have to take it for what it is. My only complaint is the end. Jehnny Beths voice is made for chaos. With Savages, the noisy English punk group she fronted last decade, her vocals sounded defiantly pretty and powerful as they fought to rise above the groups shadowy guitar carnage. And with John and Jehn - the dramatic, lo-fi duo she formed with her longtime partner, Johnny Hostile, in her native France - she added expressionistic voice textures that highlighted the dark guitar lines and, when she sang lyrics, her voice shone through the duskiness. On her first solo album, the chaos is entirely hers. What I Did For Love. Love makes us do crazy things. But not this crazy. This week for Valentine's Day we have stories of people going to extremes as they fall in love, chase love down, and try to make sense of it-including a teenager who falls for an undercover cop, and epic tales of snooping. In many countries, it was issued as the second single from the album, in February 1971, becoming a top-ten hit in the United States, Canada and elsewhere, and topping singles charts in Australia and Switzerland. In the United Kingdom, What Is Life appeared as the B-side to My Sweet Lord, which was the best-selling single there of 1971. Very good New-Wave with an Italo-Disco sort of vibe. I would even put this up there with some of the English New Wave classics despite the strong Italian accents. It even has a cool little sax solo near the end. Side A2's Radio Version is the strongest version for me personally as it has some extra stuff going on not in the Extended Version that makes it much stronger even despite it being 2 minutes shorter. It's amazing how underground some stuff like this is considering how well put together it is. It's also interesting noting that this is one of the first records ever mixed by famous DJ, Claudio Coccoluto (aka Cocodance). There are two other records by this band and I have only heard one other of them, "Do You Believe In Romantic". It is a decent song, also very New Wavey, but much lighter in feel than this record. It also contains some very smooth sax bits. The vocals remind me quite a bit of Paul Heaton of The Housemartins, but with the difference being the accent and they are a little less smooth in Life. Coincidentally it appears that Carlo De Blasio who was involved in this record wrote for the cover of the Italian release of The Housemartin's "The People Who Grinned Themselves To Death".
