REmastering sounds like the tracks were ripped from old records, de-clicked, de-noised, compressed into 128kbps MP3, and then played to the cutter on some decent portable player.
In 20 years of buying techno vinyl I never complain about the quality of pressings, usually finding such complaints unfounded, but I have to agree with commenters below; this really is shoddy work. My copy has very noticeable surface noise, especially on the A side, and all tracks sound muffled and subdued, like you have a cushions stuffed in your ears. Am disappointed, especially since it's unlikely that the Burdens boys will arrange for another reissue through others providers. Was going to get the other reissues but am not going to bother now. Too bad.
I wish that Octave One would stop working with Above Board Distribution on these 430 West reissues, they are actually ruining their legacy! Luckily I own a lot of the original pressing and US pressing a not exactly know for best sound quality, but they sound much better than this crappy reissues!
yeah very bad manufactoring record, at last VG+ condition (for a new/mint copy)...
AB might be paying the artists with these releases but they're fleecing everyone else, won't touch anything they've had a hand in
