Viva was Xmal Deutschland's third album, released in 1987. Matador was produced by the Stranglers's Hugh Cornwell and was released as a single in the UK in 1986. Matador 4:00. Eisengrau 2:57. Sickle Moon 3:36. If Only 4:11. Feuerwerk 31-dez 6:02. Illusion Version 4:06. Morning Will There Really Be 6:04. Viva represents how Xmal Deutschland mellowed with age. No longer kicking and screaming like Siouxsie & the Banshees in their punk days, Xmal Deutschland tone down the dissonance and funereal atmospherics in Viva. Fans of the group's chaotic early records might disagree, but Viva is Xmal Deutschland's finest moment. Xmal Deutschland aren't trying to be scary anymore - their 1982 single Incubus Succubus was creepy stuff - just beautifully depressed. The opening track, Matador, recalls the band's old gothic fury however, it's more focused a. Songs in album Xmal Deutschland - Viva 1987. Xmal Deutschland - Matador. Xmal Deutschland - Eisengrau. As a whole, I find the album rather boring for Goth style music, which this album belongs to as a genre, but is a bit darker in a more cold snowy way. That German aesthetic is definitely here, this is definitely a German album make no mistake about it. That's what I love about, you can feel the kalt of the German air here. A good album to study die Quantum Theorie to, if you ask me, to get you in that Heisenberg-Born mood. That's what I was doing when I first got my hands on an Xmal Deutschland album
